Kathy:
I haven't seen any commercial bike canopies other than that French one. I'm testing my own design and if it works out I'll post on my blog how to buy the parts and how to put it together. I'm trying to make it inexpensive and something anyone can build with simple tools.

Why is it that the Europeans always seem to beat us at intelligent designs? What happened to American ingenuity? I would love to have one of these canopies so that I can use my bike for my main transportation. I hate wearing a rainsuit to ride in the rain - it's hot and sweaty and you end up just as wet as if you hadn't worn it at all. Do you know where we can get one of these canopies in the U.S.? I'm not very adept at building things myself; otherwise I'd send for Jill Nerkowski's plans. When will we as a country outgrow this car mania? Thanks for any help you can give me.
