Every day we ate a packed lunch under a shade tree. Once in Metamora, twice at the church in Benham, and here at the Quakertown State Recreation area. In the distance you can you can see the silloutte of our support vehicle and helpful support person Kate under a tree.
For the riders, we were able to escape many of the trappings of civilization for a few days. The rural roads we followed had little development and poor cell phone coverage. Combining that with picnic meals and camping we got a very different experience than our city lives of homes, work, stores and many more cars…not to mention distractions and benefits of internet access.
